Description

This publication is typically illustrated with 3 photographs, but these photographs were not issued directly from the publisher. In the introduction to Album canadien author J. M. LeMoine instructs the reader to visit the Livernois studio to select photographs of their choosing from those previously prepared for the third volume of Maple Leaves. The illustrations therefore vary based on the preference of the book's owner.

While J. B. Livernois is generally acknowledged as the original photographer of the images provided by the studio, many of the photographs that appear in these books were probably printed after his death. In the text itself, LeMoine thanks Livernois' widow, Élise Livernois, for providing the photographs.
